Volunteering

Volunteering in 1L

In 1L we have weekly, monthly and yearly participation and volunteer opportunities. We have:

Yearly: 

• Mystery Reader once a week on Fridays at 10:40am-11:00am (sign up once or twice per year)
• Other classroom 1-time jobs (collating the math books, putting together portfolios, cutting out laminating, videotaping students for publishing projects) 

Monthly: (we'll be looking for 5-8 volunteers for each activity we do, volunteers to donate supplies for the specific ​​activity)

• Classroom celebrations
• Craftivities
• Science labs 
• Gardening in the OLC (2nd half of the year)

Weekly: 

• Friday copying (someone from our class signs up each week to do our class copying!) Copying is SUPER important and gives me more time to spend thinking about the kids and their needs! It will be so wonderful to have parents starting right in September!
